We have a clear strategic priorities to benefit from marine resources in a country surrounded by seas (Mediterranean and Red Seas). and we focus on sustainable management of human activities related to the sea and the environment, research in the fields of applied marine geophysics, marine geophysical natural hazards and projects, to cultivate notable scientists through top quality marine geophysical science education and experiences.

Vision
– Create a safer and more resilient maritime environment by effectively mitigating and managing marine hazards. Envision a future where the risks and impacts associated with natural disasters, accidents, and other hazards in the marine realm are minimized, leading to enhanced safety, protection of marine ecosystems, and sustainable maritime activities.
– Working to raise social awareness to understand the various risks as to save marine environment and resources.
Contributing to achieve sustainable development of the marine environment by establishing an integrated system for managing crises and disasters that are facing marine environment and reducing the risks that threaten marine environment on the national level.
– Protect the marine environment from risks, whether natural or due to human activities, that have negative impacts on social life and cause large economic and environmental losses, through monitoring and evaluating the changes to which the marine environment is exposed in all fields.
